This week’s shenanigans had me thinking where are the players in all this? it is them we go to watch after all. Football has come a long way and I think its about time that players and fans also had a say in their home FA’s and in FIFA as well.
Interesting point mfowethu. After the Salt Lake City Olympic scandal, the IOC brought athletes into its ranks and some say this change lessened the mismanagement, bribery, and corruption of the organization. I doubt FIFA will go for it. After Blatter retires, MIchel Platini (my childhood hero at Juventus) may ascend to the presidency, which could lead to bringing in more players’ voices into administration of the global game.
