Luis Suarez has been banned for 8 games in the English Premier League for the alleged racist abuse of Patrice Evra. The nature of the exchange between Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra has not yet been disclosed. Luis Suarez is appealing. Here is a brief reminder of a less well known contribution Luis Suarez made to the World Cup in South Africa. A post on Luis Suarez will follow once details of the accusation against Suarez have been released by the English FA.

Hey Davy, thanks for this juicy clip and the heads up about the documentary. Makes me nostalgic for SA 2010. The kids from the Northern Cape and their Rasta guide are wonderful. Suarez looks like he’s having a lot of fun with them, doing it diski style!
About the suspension, the FA seems to have based their decision exclusively on Evra’s word. Will other factual evidence be presented during the appeal process?
Peter, It seems the English FA have not figured how they arrived at their verdict yet. The evidence the FA initially said would follow “in a few days” when they issued their 8 match ban will not now appear until mid January, as reported by the Daily Telegraph today. In other words, you are guilty, go to the jail and we’ll tell you how arrived at our verdict once we’ve warmed up your porridge. It’s muppetry of the highest order. There isn’t a racist bone in Luis Suarez’s body and his employer, Liverpool FC knows it. No ban, no slap on the wrist. Only a complete exoneration of Luis Suarez will suffice for Liverpool Football Club. Liverpool are playing hardball now.
Hola Davy,
as Uruguayan can confirm you that is impossible for a footballer in Uruguay don’t share any moment with black people you can confirm it a the national football team where many blacks are playing also if you consider Ajax, his previous team is the same stuff; so for sure his words must be put in context in order to take a decision by FA. Thanks for this great video!!!
What a great video. Suarez has a great personality and he very down to earth. Some people take words out of context when is it convenien or to take advandge of a situation. Suarez is great player and I believe he never will say anything to offend anyone unless he felt he was being miss treated. Once again look at this video and yuo will see ghe true Suarez. Love Uruguay from an Ecuatorian fan!!!:-*
